Law Enforcement Guide
CH Entertainments LLC cooperates with valid legal process and works to keep StreamHub safe. This page explains how law enforcement can contact us and what we can provide. It does not create any right beyond what the law provides.
How to submit a request
Email [CONTACT EMAIL] from an official government email address with the subject line "Law Enforcement Request". Include: your name, agency, badge or ID number, and phone number; the legal process (subpoena, court order, search warrant) as an attachment; the username(s), or the IP address(es) with exact date, time and time zone, that you are asking about; and the deadline, if any. We may ask for more information. Requests that are incomplete, overbroad or not properly served may be rejected or narrowed.
What we may have
- Basic account information: username, account creation date, accepted-terms records, and a city if the user typed one.
- Connection records: IP addresses with timestamps and device or browser details for account creation, sign-ins, failed sign-ins and starting a broadcast. Kept for 180 days (longer under a legal hold).
- Content: posts, comments, photos, profile information and chat as stored on the Service. We do not routinely record live streams.
- Reports about an account.
We do not collect exact (GPS) location, contacts, or email addresses at sign-up. If a user chooses "Use my location" we keep only a rounded area about 3 miles wide, never an exact position. We do not have real names, since users choose usernames.
What legal process we require
Consistent with the Stored Communications Act (18 U.S.C. § 2701 et seq.), we generally require: a subpoena for basic subscriber information and connection records; a court order under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(d) for non-content records beyond basic subscriber information; and a search warrant issued on probable cause for the contents of communications.
Preservation requests
On receipt of a valid request from a government entity under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f), we will preserve records for an account for 90 days, renewable once for another 90 days, while you obtain legal process. Email the request to [CONTACT EMAIL] with the username or IP and timestamps.
Emergency disclosure requests
If you believe someone is in imminent danger of death or serious physical injury, email [CONTACT EMAIL] with the subject "EMERGENCY" and describe the emergency. We may disclose information without legal process where the law allows (18 U.S.C. § 2702(b)(8) and (c)(4)). Emergency requests may be reviewed immediately.
Child safety reports
We report apparent child sexual abuse material and child exploitation to the NCMEC CyberTipline as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and preserve the related content and records as the law requires.
Notifying users
We may tell users about requests for their information unless we are prohibited by law or court order, or we believe notice would be counterproductive (for example in emergencies or child-safety cases). If you want us not to notify the user, include a valid non-disclosure order or explain why in your request.
Costs
We may seek reimbursement for reasonable costs as the law allows. We may decline or challenge requests that we believe are unlawful or overbroad.
