Safety Center
StreamHub connects you with people you do not know. Most people are great. A few are not. These tips help you stay safe. You must be 18 or older to use StreamHub.
Protect your privacy
- Never share your home address, school, workplace, phone number, last name, financial details or passwords on stream, in chat, in a post or in your profile.
- Check what is visible behind you on camera: mail, street signs, license plates, school or work badges, window views.
- Remember that anyone can record a live stream and share it. Do not do or say anything on camera you would not want made public.
- Your profile city is optional. Use a large city or leave it empty.
Watch out for scams
- Never send money, gift cards or crypto to someone you met on StreamHub, no matter how good the story. Real streamers never ask you to pay them outside the app's gift system.
- Be careful with anyone who moves quickly to love or friendship, asks to take you to another app, refuses to go on camera, or always has an emergency.
- Do not click links or download files from strangers. Never share verification codes.
- StreamHub staff will never ask for your password.
Dates and meetups
- We do not run background checks. Do not assume someone is who they say they are.
- If you decide to meet someone, meet in a busy public place, tell a friend where you are going and who you are meeting, and arrange your own transport.
- Do not feel pressured. You can leave, block and report at any time.
If something goes wrong
- Emergency or immediate danger: call 911.
- Report on StreamHub: use the Report buttons (on a stream, a chat message, a post, a profile or a private message), or email [CONTACT EMAIL].
- Block: open their profile, or long-press their chat message, and choose Block. They can no longer message you or join your chat.
- Child exploitation: report to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
- Scams and fraud: report to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov. Internet crime: ic3.gov.
- Intimate images shared without your consent: contact StopNCII.org and email us so we can remove them.
